ITility is seeking an experienced performance driven Program Security Specialist supporting a new government client. This position is contingent on contract award and will be onsite at the Client location in Mclean, VA or Bethesda, MD.

Program Security Specialist 

Provides day-to-day security support to government programs by leveraging ICD 704/705 expertise, DISS/Scattered Castles proficiency, and classification management skills to handle access requirements, physical security, and awareness briefings.  Executes personnel, physical, and operational security processes, maintaining documentation, and supporting inspection readiness. Coordinates with program leadership and Government security to ensure access actions, reporting, and training requirements are completed accurately and on schedule. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Process routine personnel security actions: onboarding/offboarding support, access submissions, indoctrination/debrief support, and status tracking. 
  • Coordinate visit requests/verification and visitor control support as required by customer or program procedures. 
  • Maintain security files and documentation repositories to support audit/inspection readiness. 
  • Track security training completion and support execution of required briefings and acknowledgments. 
  • Assist with security incident documentation and corrective action tracking under direction of the Team Lead. 
  • Support classified/sensitive material handling processes where applicable (inventory support, storage controls, transmission documentation, destruction logs). 
  • Support physical security tasks as needed (badging coordination, secure area procedure support, after-hours procedures). 
  • Provide routine status updates, metrics, and action-item tracking to the Team Lead. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be US Citizen  
  • Active Top Secret SCI Clearance and Active Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph 
  • 3+ years of experience in program security, industrial security, personnel security, or related government security support roles. 
  • ICD 704/705 expertise 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and audit-ready documentation. 
  • Professional communication skills and ability to coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic trackers (Excel-based logs, SharePoint/Teams document libraries). 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience supporting DoD/IC programs in a cleared contractor environment. 
  • Familiarity with security processing workflows and systems used for visit/access actions (as applicable to the program). 
  • Experience supporting inspections/audits and implementing corrective actions. 

Additional Requirements 

  • On-site presence as required; flexibility to support surge periods (inspections, onboarding waves, exercises). 
  • Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately and comply with need-to-know requirements. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Work is typically performed in an office setting. 
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Must have the ability to lift 15-25 pounds.
