Overview

ITility is seeking an experienced, results-oriented People Operations Generalist/Recruiter who will be part of an energetic and motivated team that directly impacts the growth and success of our organizationThis person will be a member of a matrixed cross-functional team and report to the Director of People Operations while supporting the PMO and Deputy Program Manager.  Candidate will also work collaboratively with other departments such as Payroll, Finance/AP, IT and Security This position is responsible for performing full scope People Operations services that span the life cycle of an employee.   

 

This position is contingent upon award of contractEstimated date of award is mid-October with a subsequent start date TBDThis position will be located near Ramstein Germany and provide support for multiple locations across Europe.

Responsibilities

Compliance, Reporting and Daily Support Activities:

  • Maintains knowledge and compliance with EEO, ADA, FLSA, USERRA, ERISA, local and country specific employment laws and regulations. 
  • Maintains knowledge and compliance with local country/state laws and regulations. 
  • Primary point of contact for employee concerns and questions on payroll, PTO, and more in Europe. 
  • Assist with preparation for payroll regarding employee changes for new hires, terms, and more. 
  • Conduct and participate in involuntary terminations/ separation process. 
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure completion. 
  • Recommend process improvements and identify areas where tasks can be automated. 

Benefits / Leave of Absence:

  • Assists as a Point of contact for benefit administration, and employees, providing assistance for both US and Global group benefits. 
  • Participates in discussions and planning Open Enrollment and Global benefits. 
  • Will assist with Workman's comp incidents, claims and investigations from start to finish, communication with carrier, employee, and claims adjuster. 
  • Responsible for EU-OSHA compliance and annual reporting. 
  • Assists with LOAs to including but not limited to: Personal LOA, Military LOA, Disability, Paid Family Leave/ Medical Leave, etc. This includes working closely with payroll for LOAs for benefit deductions or changes. 
  • May assist with gathering records for leave of absences and accommodation requests in accordance with specified legal requirements and documentation of best practices. 

Employee Relations: 

  • Participate in new hire orientation, may contribute to updating materials for slide deck, etc.  
  • Provide counseling and direction to employees, facilitate communication, and help to resolve conflicts that impact employee engagement. 
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staffMay begin investigations. 
  • Assist with internal investigations; provide clear and concise documentation and consistent recommendations to management regarding resolution. 
  • Assists with Certificates of Coverage for OCONUS employees. 
  • Support OCONUS teams with retention, terms, employee issues, hires and more. 
  • May assist with processing salary increases/promotion/ and monitoring increase ranges to ensure that compensation is administered equitably and consistently. 

Recruiting:

  • Work closely with TA team to assist with sourcing and pre-screening candidates. 
  • Assist with processing candidates through recruiting life cycle. 
  • Build relationships with future candidates. 
  • Identify and attend events for exposure, company branding, pipeline candidates. 
  • Assist with creating job descriptions and posting jobs to various sites. 
  • Identify new areas to source and post jobs to encourage and identify diverse candidates. 

Other: 

  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications. 
  • May assist with developing new policies and procedures. 
  • Assists/supports other ad hoc related projects or assignments.  This could include projects assigned by Director of People Operations or working on cross functional project teams. 
  • May contribute to developing department goals, and objectives 
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks. 
  • Ability to carry out multiple assignments concurrently. 
  • Ability to act with integrity and professionalism and maintain confidentiality. 
  • Knowledge of employment related laws and regulations for US employees. 
  • Understanding of German law, UK law, European law, .and ability to learn and understand other countries as needed. 
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, conflict resolution and communication skills. 
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, time management and ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to build relationships and trust with team members and stakeholders. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Strong MS Excel skills to manipulate dates with VLOOKUP and more. 
  • Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn the HRIS system (ADP Workforce Now) 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Must be able to work additional hours during surge periods such as open enrollment, other. 

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field. 
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience of human resources management required. 
  • 10+ years of experience in lieu of a degree may be considered. 
  • Experience in Government Contracting strongly preferred. 
  • Experience with a Global company strongly preferred. 
  • Experience with a multi- country employer preferred. 
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred. 
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification a plus. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
