Seeking top talent to join our growing ITility team. ITility is seeking an experienced Learning Experience Designer (primarily remote, with up to 25% travel involved to the Great Lakes area, Waukegan, IL) to support our U.S. government customer. Our contract provides technical support and innovative solutions to satisfy USMEPCOM enterprise IT objectives.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this role:

  • Designs, plans, and implements training programs and procedures specifically focusing on user functional development and UI/UX enhancement.
  • Develops and maintains USMEPCOM Information Resource System (USMIRS) applications competency models.
  • Oversees and leads the training approach and modifies as needed to ensure ongoing effectiveness and relevancy across all application modernization areas.
  • Conducts annual training and development needs assessments for all assigned applications and functional systems.
  • Develop training videos, provide training (virtual and onsite), and go-live support for relevant applications.
  • Trains and coaches USMEPCOM users in collaboration with application development efforts and serves in an advisory role on future feature implementation.
  • Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results and modify programs as necessary.
  • Participate in relevant application upgrades and new functionality deployments which includes but is not limited to testing, devising workflows, developing computer based training (CBT), virtual training, and support.
  • Develops and maintains organizational communications to ensure the USMIRS user community knows how to access training and development resources.
  • Researches new training techniques and suggests enhancements to existing programs to meet the ongoing and changing needs of the company.
  • Proposes training and development programs and USMIRS subjects to peers and leadership.
  • Evaluates and recommend the purchase of necessary learning aids and tools for the department, such as specialized software and licenses, or recommend the development of new USMIRS features and software to meet USMEPCOM needs.
  • Understands the overarching USMIRS strategy, as well as communicates and models a sense of teamwork.
  • Liaises with stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient communication flow.
  • Creates role-based learning programs across current and future tech stack.
  • Consults with leadership to effectively design and streamline applicable processes within the organization.
  • Keeps up-to-date on external best practices and relevant changes to their field/area; communicates updates to leadership.
  • Identifies cost-saving opportunities and potential process improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Masters degree in Education or related field and at least 10 plus years of experience with Instructional Design or Teaching. 
  • Desired and typical certifications include Security+, AWS Cloud Practitioner, and/or ITIL v4. 
  • Experience with Camtasia to create trainings. 
  • Experience with AWS. 
  • Experience creating training specific to new features/applications for an enterprise DoD client.
  • ADA or 508 compliance experience required.
  • Required to complete and pass a DOD background investigation commensurate with level IT-II for T3 or T3R.
