Seeking top talent to join our growing Itility team. ITility is seeking a Data Scientist to join our talented team members to provide overall support to the United States Military Entrance Processing Command (USMEPCOM) remotely but with occasional travel to Waukegan, IL in the Great Lakes area.

USMEPCOM is the vital link between recruiting and training armed forces and operates 65 Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS) located throughout the U.S.

  • Focused on exceptional customer engagement, intentionally finding ways to enhance the customer's capabilities to create customer advocacy for our ITility team.
  • Work on a team managing Data Warehouses, Marts, and Lakes, consisting of Data Architects, BI Developers, Database Administrators, and Data Engineers.
  • Participates, as needed, in full life cycle development by performing requirements analysis, process development and design, and testing using development methodology. 
  • Participates in initiatives or projects that support process improvements, leveraging new system capabilities or the integration of data/other applications into existing systems.
  • Assists with the analysis of activities related to the planning for engineering and development of data mapping, migration, and storage of data in on-premises and cloud architectures.
  • Understand and document the development and implementation of technical architectures (conceptual, logical, and physical).
  • Provides database acquisition, design and modeling support and expertise.
  • Research and document the development/use of the right tools for methodologies, processes, and procedures needed to solve Data Management and BI problems.
  • Advance and further develop team knowledge of Power BI, DAX, Power Query and other BI and analytics tools through online resources and/or books, training courses, user groups or professional organizations.
  • Provides input in the development and support of project schedules and road maps

  • Consistently exceeds annual objectives in all areas of performance.
  • Assist stakeholders to determine business needs and requirements for BI, including the development of performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Actively participates with the Tech Solution Center.
  • Work with other technical leads, teammates, and contracted resources as required to deliver best-in-class business intelligence to business stakeholders.
  • Consistently deliver high-quality services to clients.
  • Communicate to leadership any observed trends in the data that might be relevant to the business and/or may identify business opportunities.
  • Similarly communicate any observed defects in the data and work with the business to remedy.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform functionality and developments.
  • Develop, enhance and maintain reports, dashboards and analytics in the Power BI, AWS QuickSight or similar platforms.

• BS Degree in Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Engineering
• MS Data Science
• Background in clouds data management and data architecture tools
• Experience using AWS Glue or MS SSIS.
