  • Overview

    The Specialist shall assist by performing all manner of travel related duties in support of the Division. The Specialist shall work under limited supervision in performing the duties described herein and shall conduct responsibilities in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) as well as the DOS’ travel policies (DOSAR) and all applicable security regulations. 

     

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as a point of contact and travel aid for the DS/DO/P/SD office
    • Prepare and complete travel vouchers, using a web-based system, for DS/DO/P/SD personnel, upon completion of travel and in accordance with the Federal and DOS’ Travel Regulations
    • Issue and Renewal Passports
    • Issue and Renewal Visas
    • Gather and analyze data, Passport and Visa Recording keeping
    • Prepare draft correspondence, administrative reports, expenditure reports, forms, and other documents, ensuring correct punctuation, capitalization, spelling, grammar, and conformance to style
    • Gather and analyze data, consolidate, and prepare data and/or reports in various formats for incorporation into analysis, documents, and activity reports
    • Receives, files, and assists in maintaining files of correspondence, reports, and other documents

    Qualifications

    • US Citizenship, with driver license
    • Associates Degree from an accredited institution
    • Minimum of five years relative experience in a professional setting
    • Experience with Passports – Issuance and Renewals, Visa – Issuance, and Passport and Visa recording keeping
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Suite
    • Must have Active Secret clearance; interim Secret will be accepted.
