    Joint Training Systems Specialist (JTSS) supporting Theater Special Operations Command, SOUTHCOM (SOCSOUTH).

    Responsibilities

    The JTSS will provide joint training support to assist USSOCOM J7 Directorate for Joint SOF Development, Training & Educationin the implementation and execution of the Joint Training System. Shall assist in the assessment, design, development, implementation, and management of supported unit’s joint training and exercise programs, subordinate processes, and specialized command training programs. This work will support the integration, coordination, and standardization of special operations forces mission essential tasks and related conditions and standards at the HQ, Service Components, TSOC, and Unified Command level using the Joint Training Manual for Armed Forces of the United States as guidance.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree and fifteen (15) years of experience in relevant area (joint training management, training program development, joint and combined arms operations, special operations core activities, etc.).
    • Minimum three (3) years of experience as a JTIMS expert user.
    • Demonstrated expertise in operational planning and executing combined and joint operations at the theater or force component level.
    • Expertise in advanced management and organizational skills.
    • An expert understanding of all facets of the Joint Training System.
    • Expertise in operational plans, contingency plans, crisis action planning.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Candidate must exhibit a professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation, and enhances productivity in the workplace.
    • Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment.
    • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with a variety of government, military and contractor personnel at all levels.
    • Must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
    • Grooming and dress usually business casual, but dependent on client’s standards.
    • Must not pose a safety hazard to employees working in the same general area.
