    Position Summary:  The Strategic Planner will develop plans, strategies and executive principal level action tasks for all initiatives linked to the CIO/G6 Army.  These strategies and actions will coordinate strategic initiatives across the entirety of the CIO/G6 organization.

     

    Position Description:  This position provides strategic planning support and strategic-level integration, alignment, and synchronization. We are looking for an experienced candidate capable of developing plans, strategies, and providing executive support for initiatives that result in synchronized efforts and greater Army-wide integration.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities: 

    • Manage strategic-level portfolio in direct support to a flag officer level executive
    • Provide support to leadership in the modernization of the network and development of cloud-enabled networks
    • Serve as focal point for coordination across all stakeholders
    • Synchronize overarching strategies and strategic direction
    • Ensure strategic alignment
    • Review and coordinate Joint and Army operational requirements for Army C4IT, Network, and IM capabilities
    • Work alongside Federal, DoD, and industry subject matter experts
    • Coordinate with strategic partners on Army Network and IT/IM issues
    • Coordinate strategic initiatives activities with external organizations
    • Provide recommendations to leadership regarding policies, regulations, and studies

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications: 

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Must be a former US Army Brigade or Battalion Level Communications Officer
    • Must have an understanding of higher headquarters staff operations
    • Must have an Active Top Secret clearance.

     

    Preferred Qualifications: 

    • Master’s degree preferred.
    • Ten years of higher headquarters strategic planning experience in the Signal/Communications community, preferably in the Army or another DoD component.
