  • Overview

    Personnel shall be capable of instructing in all aspects within the Technical Surveillance Course POI, to include Advanced Digital Collections Systems, Information Assurance, Information Security, Surveillance, Method of Entry, Close Target Reconnaissance, Tactical Audio Video, Basic Electronics, Commercial off the Shelf Construction, Tactical Audio and Video, and Fabrication.  Personnel shall be fully qualified are familiar of current and emerging technologies, are tactical and technology proficient in the latest Techniques, Tactics and MSOS Special Operations Forces Level I Special Reconnaissance Course. 

    Responsibilities

    All instructors shall be proficient and capable of providing instruction in each of the following areas:

    • Close Target Reconnaissance (CTR) instruction to include Practical Exercise Scenario Development
    • Information Assurance/Information Security
    • Microsoft Office Windows 7 Power Point
    • Digital Camera Operations and Surveillance Photography
    • Remote Camera Operations
    • Basic and Advanced Image Processing
    • Basic and Advanced Digital Audio Processing
    • Basic and Advanced Digital Collection Systems
    • Surveillance instruction to include Practical Exercise Scenario Development
    • Tactical Audio and Video Instructions (TAVS)
    • Basic Electronics and Commercial Off the Shelf Electronics Modification
    • Fabrication Instruction
    • Surreptitious Method of Entry LVL 1, LVL 2 and LVL 3
    • Tracking Devices to include, Satellite, Iridium, RF, DF and Global Star
    • Practical Exercise Scenario Development

    Qualifications

    • Must have at least 5 years recent experience (within the last 3 years) as an instructor for a SOCOM approved Technical surveillance course such as the MARSOC Technical Surveillance Course or Special Forces Technical Surveillance Course
    • Graduate of MARSOF Technical Surveillance course and/or Special Forces Technical Surveillance course.
    • Graduate of a U.S. Assessment & Selection and Operator Qualifications course with a minimum of 10 years of formal training and experience in SOF Special Reconnaissance in full spectrum SOF Operations (technical and non-technical) and/or SME as an operator within MARSOC, SF, SMU Technical Support Detachment.
    • Completion of Formal School Instructor Course (FSIC) or equivalent.
    • Must have at least 3 years of recent experience (within the last 8 years) in the U.S. Government (military or civilian) or equivalent commercial experience in Technical Operations Support (TSO) disciplines of Digital Collection Systems, Instruction of Technical devices, Basic electronics, Commercial Off the Shelf Systems, Tactical Audio and Video.
    • Must have at least 3 years of recent experience (within the last 8 years) in the U.S. Government (military or civilian) or equivalent commercial experience in incorporating Technical Operations Support (TSO) devices into Surveillance, Fabrication, Method of Entry and Close Reconnaissance missions.
    • Possess a Secret security clearance.
