    The Environmental Protetection Agency (EPA) requires Information Technology (IT) support services for Region 2 encompassing NJ, NY, Puerto Rico, and US Virgin Islands.  The Help Desk Specialist (Tier III)/Desktop Support Specialist will oversee all aspects of the Regional Office IT help desk support services.


    (This position is contingent upon award)


    The Boston regional office on-site Senior Help Desk Specialist (Tier III)/Desktop Support Specialist shall be responsible for:

    • Supervision of all activities as they relate to help desk services rendered to Region 2.
    • Planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and coordinating this function and serve as the contact point for any questions related to the help desk.
    • Work with the Project Manager to define work tasks and resolve problem areas.
    • Schedule on-going work and specific work orders for miscellaneous tasks in an efficient, responsive manner, ascertaining EPA priorities designated by the Project Manager.
    • Review the performance of his/her employees, making recommendations to the Project Manager on changes that would improve efficiency of the help desk operation.



    • Bachelors Degree in computer science or related field
    • A+ Certification
    • Ten (10)+ years of experience in the IT industry with additional history of managing IT operations
    • Five (5)+ years of experience managing large scale hardware and software deployment projects and technical teams
