Position Summary: The Acquisition Specialist shall provide acquisition expertise in support of DoD IA acquisition efforts. Acquisition support includes, but is not limited to: providing acquisition guidance, developing and/or reviewing market research, developing and/or reviewing acquisition packages (Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and Requests for Proposal (RFPs)), developing acquisition lessons learned documents and providing source selection support.
Position Description: In addition to supporting day-to-day acquisition activities team member shall provide recommendations and support the implementation of improvements and efficiencies within the customer’s acquisition processes. They will also be responsible for providing periodic accurate and timely status reporting on all assigned acquisition actions to the customer management team. Provides administration and data entry support services to systems development, management and technical personnel.
Responsibilities: Developing source selection evaluation guides and plans, providing training briefings to the technical, cost and past performance source selection teams, facilitating source selection evaluation team meetings and process guidance for the development of source selection recommendation documents. This primary role is facilitating all aspects for assisting in the procuring of hardware and software to achieve Agency objectives.
