  • Overview

    The overall purpose of this task is to provide the J7 with a contractor team that has operational experience across the spectrum of SOF Components and Special Mission Units, augmented by academic and technical specialists versed in the cutting edge capabilities of their specific fields of expertise, that is completely aware of the broad spectrum of capabilities in a major contractor consortium with the capability to access the right resources in a timely manner.


    The senior research analyst will provide analysis and advice across the full spectrum of SOF operations. Senior research analysts will provide direct support to the modeling and simulation programs by developing required input data for planners and gamers supporting Virtual Mission Rehearsal Systems Analysis at the operational and tactical level. They will also assist the team with support in the development of desk-top models designed to provide fastrunning, robust quantitative analysis support for decision makers to develop life cycle cost estimates.


    • Minimum 20 years’ military experience in special operations
    • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Ground, Maritime, Aviation, Airborne Operations, JointTerminal Attack Controller (JTAC), Close Air Support (CAS), SOF training, Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE), and Low-Level Source Operations (ASOT Level III)
    • Demonstrated expert knowledge on researching, defining, evaluating, and implementingnew technologies to enhance Joint and SOF global warfighting and Irregular Warfarecapabilities
    • Intimate knowledge of Joint and SOF information (e.g., techniques, tactics, and procedures), intelligence, logistics, and communications requirements
    • Current Top Secret security clearance, with SCI eligibility
