The Analyst will provide mobile device forensic support to highly sensitive investigations through mobile device evidence seizure, mobile device forensic analysis, and data recovery of devices and platforms to include cell phones, smartphones, GPS units and vehicle infotainment units. The Analyst will complete these tasks by having a thorough understanding and knowledge of mobile device software tools, mobile device hardware tools, open sources tools, JTAG, Chipoff and ISP procedures.


  • Assist in forensic examinations of mobile device media from a variety of sources with the goal of developing forensically sound evidence.
  • Apply best principles and practices in retrieving, recovering, and preserving electronic evidence.
  • Utilize leading forensic tools such as Cellebrite, XRY, Oxygen, MPE+, BlackLight, and Axiom.
  • Utilize experience and knowledge of a wide variety of advanced digital technologies and theories to conduct analysis of submitted evidence.
  • Collaborate with other forensic analysts, law enforcement officers, and legal experts to identify and recommend methods and procedures for recovery, preservation, and presentation of electronic evidence.
  • Prepare clear and comprehensive notes and reports of findings that comply with CIF guidelines; testify to findings in judicial proceedings.
  • Review requests for forensic support and determine type of examination needed.


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three (3) years professional experience in a related field.
  • At least one CIF approved forensic certification, such as Cellebrite Certified Physical Analyst (CCPA), Cellebrite Certified Mobile Examiner (CCME), XRY (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced), Oxygen Forensic User Certification, Certified BlackLight Examiner (CBE), CFCE, CDFE, ENCE, ACE, CCPA.
  • Experience developing information from cases/investigations.
  • Experience drafting US government reports and documents.
  • Must have an Active Secrect Security Clearance.

  • Ability to work independently on projects and issues within overall policy guidelines.
