Overview

ITility has an opening for an experienced MJIEDSP Workshop Facilitator to assist the DHS Office of Bombing Prevention conduct Counter- improvised explosive device workshops with state, local, tribal, and territorial stakeholders to enhance IED prevention, protection, mitigation, and response capabilities. The workshops assist stakeholders identify roles, responsibilities, capability gaps, and optimize limited resources within a multi-jurisdictional planning area.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Facilitate the multi-jurisdiction and collective discussion with stakeholders from various disciplines, agencies, and jurisdictions to improve the multi-jurisdictional capability to counter IED threats through DHS provided content
  • Facilitate 12 workshops per year for First Responders, Bomb Squads, SWAT, and Senior Executives in high-risk jurisdictions
  • Conduct initial planning meetings with Stakeholders, Program Managers and Office for Bombing Prevention Personnel to support workshops in each high-risk jurisdiction
  • Complete reports and assessments for submission to Program Manager

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:    

 

  • Graduate of FBI Hazardous Device School, Huntsville, Alabama or SWAT School
  • 10-15 Years of Law Enforcement Experience
  • 5-10 years of Bomb Squad Experience or SWAT Experience
  • Eligible for Secret Security Clearance
  • Eligible for DHS Suitability
  • Familiar with Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP)
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communications Skills

  • Ability to interact professionally with stakeholders and maintain large and diverse groups on task.
  • Ability to brief and lead discussions with Senior Executives in high-risk jurisdictions on CIED Preparedness, workshops out briefs, and threat scenarios.
  • Ability to draft professional reports including workshop after scenarios, agenda, after action reports, and Corrective Action Plans (CAP’s).
